Memorise: And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. – John 11:42
Read: John 11:41-45 (KJV)
41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

MESSAGE:
There is something unique about the words that Jesus spoke while here on earth. They carried unusual power.
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” - John 6:63
During His earthly ministry, His words always led to supernatural miracles. The moment He spoke to His Father, His Father brought back to life everything that was already dead. Anytime Jesus taught, the power of His Father was always present to heal the people from sicknesses and infirmities.
The God of miracles is the answer of all the impossibilities in your life. The moment you have faith in His Word, you can be sure it will be accorded to you as you have believed. Miracles are deliberate acts of God which He uses in beautifying the lives of His children. If you want to have access to your own miracle, you need to initiate it through faith. When you are connected to the God of miracles, you will begin to operate in the supernatural and command results in all you lay your hands upon. When you abide in Him and He abides in you, even the miracles you did not ask for will start to overtake you.
God is committed to doing what you ask Him as long as you are rooted in Him. The moment you ask Him for a particular miracle, even if you ask for what is not available at that moment, He is committed to creating it for your sake. Nothing could withstand all the miracles Jesus asked for because He asked His Father with all authority and boldness. Whenever you please God and you live in obedience to His Word, you can come to Him boldly and lay your requests before Him. Boldness is a sign that you trust what He is capable of doing.
As a child of destiny, you are designed to take charge and not allow the enemy to dominate you. Poverty and sickness should not have a place in your life because your Father is the Author of all miracles. I decree into your life today; the long awaited miracle which you have been expecting from the Lord shall be made manifest to you speedily in Jesus’ name. What must you do to maintain your status in the miraculous? You need to embrace a life of purity. Jesus had access to the miraculous because there was no sin in Him. You need to be consecrated to maintain your position in Christ. Never allow the bondage of this world to tie you down.
Action Point: Ask God for something big that will cause men to wonder.

Text: Job 1:1-12
Key Verse: "And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?" (Job 1:8).
The Bible authored by a God of order cannot contradict itself by saying God is watching over the righteous and then reverse itself to say this same God would allow righteous Job to be crushed by Satan.
The occasion of a just Creator permitting controlled “calamity” to hit His righteous creature is the unfolding of the wisdom of God to prove that man’s existence is not about bread and butter, as it were. He proved that Job could absorb suffering and still remain faithful to Him. Christians need to constantly demonstrate to the world that persecution for their stand for Jesus will never be weighty enough to make them abandon Him in the face of temporary setbacks that may come through low finances, sicknesses, job loss, failed expectations and so on. In the midst of these, we must see the presence of God through the invisible hedge He has made around us with the eyes of faith. Such storms may bring down our property or business and inflict some bodily harm. But let us be assured that God does not allow such adversarial winds to fatally blow our souls.
The devil or his agents cannot overrule God. But then, God expects the believer to endure in faithfulness to the end. We must vindicate God’s trust in us and put Satan to shame by not allowing the quest for fleeting material considerations to overwhelm us in times of adversities and temptations. There is a crown waiting for the overcomer in heaven.
Thought for the day: A Christian’s patience when tried honours God.

Kenneth Copeland’s daily devotional June 5, 2016 - Trust Him to Deliver You

[June 5, 2016]
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.... There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. - Psalm 91:7,10
Naturally speaking, this is a terrifying world we’re living in today. A world that staggers from one disaster to another. Almost daily we hear about wars, about the dangers of nuclear weapons and chemical warfare, about oil spills and earthquakes and floods, about diseases on the rise and crime sweeping through our cities.
But in the midst of it all, God is promising to be a refuge and a fortress to those who will trust and dwell in Him.
“But, Gloria,” you might say, “He made that promise thousands of years ago when things weren’t in as desperate shape as they are today!”
That may be so, but you know what? That promise is right up-to-date. It was made for our generation. Just think about it. Back when Psalm 91 was written, man hadn’t even invented weapons that could destroy 10,000 people at once. We’re the generation that did that. So when He said, “No evil will befall you,” He was including us.
No evil will befall you. My, what a statement! You need to catch hold of it and believe it today. Believe that God wants to be God in your life. He wants to be your protection. He wants to be your security. He wants to be the first Name you call when trouble comes your way. He wants to be the One you trust in and look to, to keep you safe. And if you’ll do that, He’ll never, never let you down.
He can handle all the dangers that surround you. I don’t care how bad they are, He can handle them! He proved that with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They were bound and thrown into a fiery furnace that was so hot that the men who threw them in were killed by the heat. Now you can’t get in any more trouble than that. But God brought them through and when they came out, they didn’t even smell like smoke. Hallelujah!
So, no matter how terrifying things around you seem to get, trust God. He’ll always be faithful. He’ll never be out doing something else when you need help. He’ll be right there to deliver you from any problem, any catastrophe, any kind of devastation.
Let Him prove in your life what He proved in the lives of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego: No other can deliver like He can!

Grace All The Way
-ROMANS 15:14-22
Key Verse:"I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God" (Romans 15:17).
Nearing the close of his seminal epistle to the Romans, Apostle Paul goes back to the key concept of grace with which he started the letter. The book continues with the affirmation that we are saved by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ at Calvary.
Paul's stand in this Spirit-driven presentation is that he became saved not by self emancipation but through the all sufficient merit of Christ. If any remarkable work for the Lord must be credited at all, the Motivator must be Christ who saved him. Put more aptly, Paul laboured so strenuously because he was saved and not in order to be saved. That should be the attitude of those who come to the knowledge of Christ. Christ simply redeemed mankind by His grace and rescued him from the broad way to hell.
Once saved therefore, we need to doggedly continue in the narrow way. Such a career must be one of gratitude to the Master, without whom we would have been lost eternally. The Apostle speaks of striving to preach the gospel in far flung regions where Christ had not been mentioned. Striving suggests toiling, struggling and exertion of extraordinary effort in a given task.
The church of Jesus Christ is looking for such men and women in an age with jaded doctrines of self-adulation. The church must go back to the old days when grace was sufficient for the saints and no credit was given to them for work done for the Lord. It is this motivation of the grace of the Lord that would carve in us the image of that faithful servant in Luke 17:7-10.
Thought for the day: God's inalienable grace is the propelling force into heavenly habitation.

Kenneth Copeland Daily Devotional 'Strength Made perfect'
This is daily devotional written by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, the leader of the Kenneth Copeland Ministries (www.KCM.org) that specializes in teaching principles of bible faith - prayer, healing, salvation and other biblical topics.
Strength Made PerfectAnd he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.2 Corinthians 12:9
When you run into an impossible situation, a situation you simply don’t have the strength or the ability to handle, are you often tempted to simply give up and accept defeat? Don’t! Instead shout, “Glory!” because the Word says God’s strength is about to be made perfect in you.
The word translated “strength” in this scripture is dunamis. It means “God’s miracle-working power.” Just think about that. When your human strength ends, God has promised that His miraculous power will bring you through!
If you’ll look in Acts 14, you can see that promise in action. The Apostle Paul was stoned by a group of Jews, taken out of the city and left for dead. Paul’s human strength had ended. He was absolutely powerless.
But the disciples gathered around him and prayed, the Lord raised him up, and he went on his way. In other words, when Paul didn’t have enough human strength to overcome, God’s miracle-working power was sufficient for him. It enabled him to be an overcomer in spite of his weakness!
So, if you are facing a crisis today—
If you’re sick and medicine has failed you—
If your finances are out of control—
If your family is falling apart—
If bad habits have you hopelessly bound—
If you’ve done absolutely all you know to do and you still haven’t gotten results—
Then rejoice! For when human strength ends, the power of God excels!
Only believe!
God’s grace is sufficient for you!

VESSEL UNTO HONOUR?Memorise: Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from
freshly lusts which war against the soul; 1st Peter 2:11
Read: 1st Peter 2:5-11,
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;Bible in one year: 2nd Chronicles 20:24-23:15, Ecclesiastes 2:9-17
MESSAGE
When we realise the extent to which God can go to cleanse humanity from the pollution of the devil, then we will realise that God is not interested in quantity but in spiritual quality. During the time of Noah, God wiped off the people from the earth because of their sins, but spared Noah and his family. Hence, salvation is a personal thing and if you are going to be a vessel unto honour, you must be ready to stand alone and do that which is right in the sight of God. Sodom and Gomorrah did not escape the righteous judgement of God because they had fallen far beyond the point where they could turn back from their evil ways, they had no desire whatsoever to turn from their evil ways and return to their Maker.
Those who are vessels unto honour will always live because Christ is alive in them. They have a living hope because the Living Word dwells in them. As vessels unto honour, you must not allow the nature of rebellion to find expression in you because you are the Lord’s own. You have direct access to God, because you have been separated from this world and unto Him. This is why we must always focus our attention on Jesus for direction in every aspect of our lives, so that we can be effective weapons in His hand. We must continue to spread the love of Jesus in our communities and beyond. We must awaken people to their spiritual needs because we have been called out of darkness into the light of God. God gives every one of us the opportunity to be useful in His plans on earth. The responsibilities are on us to determine the extent to which we will do exploits for the Lord. We must immediately respond to the prompting and instructions of the Lord before it is too late.
As we see all challenges confronting our world on a daily basis, there is the need for all Christians to come into a higher level of uncompromising commitment to the Shepherd of our souls. There is the need to connect with God in intimacy, so that we can have access to revelations of things to come. All those things which can easily distract us from reaching the ultimate height of God for our lives must be prevented.
“Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and sin which doth easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us”Hebrews 12:1
As vessels unto honour, you must be ready to pay the price to be true disciples of Jesus. Others can, but you cannot, because you have been separated unto God for good works.
Prayer point
Father, help me to abide in You thoughtout my lifetime in Jesus’ name.

God First
-1 CHRONICLES 9:1-13
Key Verse:
"Now the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims" (1 Chronicles 9:2).
God attaches fundamental importance to His service and to His servants. Upon the return of the children of Israel from captivity in Babylon, He allowed the Priests, Levites and temple assistants into the land first. Partnering with Him to publish His laws, rules and regulations as well as engaging in temple maintenance were of utmost priority to God. As it was then, so it is today. There is distinction given to those directly involved in church work. God often focuses attention on the redeemed who, day and night, live a completely surrendered life through biblical ethics of righteous, holy and sacrificial service. Everyone who has given his life to Christ is a sacred vessel in God's hands. He works not only in the visible church, but also in the universal one. As soon as they returned, the Priest immediately set a precedent in the service of God, making it a priority over other considerations. We are saved to serve. And God's service must be second to none in our personal economy. God is preparing us for our heavenly home by His mercy, just as He prepared the way for the return of the children of Israel to their inheritance. Yet, He does not want us to rest on our oars. We must show appreciation to Him for saving us by enlisting in His army to spread the Good News, laying as it were, treasures, talents, time, and indeed our all on the altar of consecration. God must be number one in all things and our service to Him must be without parallel.
Thought for the day: God puts first those who put Him first.
